More detail

This project consisted of reclaiming an old 50 acre quarry site and designing a new 18,000 S.F. office building and 7,800 S.F. Storage Building for the City of Columbus Parking Violations Bureau and the Police Impound Operations. The L shaped Administration Building plan houses each user group in its own wing with a centralized core of shared spaces including a public lobby. The 7,800 S.F. Storage facility includes secure investigation and inspection bays for vehicles involved in felonious crimes or theft. The Storage Building also includes general storage space utilized by both tenants. The site accommodates parking for 120 employees and visitors and 3,750 impounded vehicles.

This project was designed to LEED principals, and achieved LEED Gold Certification from the USGBC.
